What Has American Football Got To Do With Trading The TenKei Way?

To me, there is a strong correlation between trading the 'TenKei Trading Techniques' way and American Football and with my findings, I aim to tighten up my trading techniques even more.

Have a read below to see what I mean:

Whenever I watch a game of American Football, it always reminds me of trading.

Why?

Where at the start of each play, the team with the ball; the 'Offense' is attempting to make 10 Yards to get to a position of safety...

For me and what I do with regards to my trading strategy, I'm attempting to get 10 Points of trading profits.

The way I see is the 'Offense' is you the trader and your trading 'Methodology' – and the 'Defense' are the markets or your lack thereof of a trading strategy.

Also at the start of each play the team without the ball; the 'Defense' is attempting to get the ball off you and make their 10 Yards plus.

Yes, the 'Defense' are the markets (who will take your Yards or Points off you) or your lack of trading skills, which will similarly cause you to fumble the/your ball/trades to give up Yards/Points and thus lose the game/trade.

Was that okay for you to get your mind around, what with all the you/me forward slashes in between?

When you watch a game of American Football, it's all marked out on the field (pitch - UK) so well, as you can see clearly each 10 Yard or 10 Point increment...

...they're almost like 'Pivot Points', aren't they?

For those of you who know how to trade the TTT way, are you taking heed of this?

Now, if you happened to watch the 'Super Bowl' you would have seen it's not always that easy to achieve a 10 Yard gain...

...but sometimes they'll make 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 or 90 Yards plus!!!

The same goes with my trading, where sometimes I will not only get 10 Points but 20, 30 or 40 Points plus!!!

Of course, I liked to achieve the higher points profit but since I've set 10 Points to get me to where I wish to get to, I tend to stop there, at my personal position of safety, just like in the NFL.

Taking a loss happens...

...it happens to the best of us!!!

I tend to take losses where I hold positions overnight...

...because I'm looking for the Big one, the Big move and I'm willing to accept those setbacks to do so.

Every day/trade I aim for my 10 Points profit or a 10 Yard dash otherwise known as a 1st down in American Football.

Yes I look at each trade as gaining my 1st down or first 10 Points. Sometimes I'll pick up the odd Yard (analogy) or Point here and there and where in American Football they have 4 attempts to gain 10 Yards, I give myself a 2Hour slot to get my 10 Points.

Did you know a game of American Football lasts 60Minutes on the clock, where 12Minutes is the average playing time? And the actual action in a game is about 12 to 15Minutes but the game itself, with stoppages can last for up to 3Hours and more!

That's the equivalent of a longer term trade or being stuck in a trade.

For my trading...

...the longest stretch I give myself to achieve my target is 14Hours.

Yes, I have all day to hit target but I don't sit there all day, I choose my trading hours very carefully within that 14Hour time frame.

I just keep on aiming for that Yardage or Points profit and I am willing to play as hard as the best NFL players in the league play...

...because I too am playing to win!!!
